Silver Buckle is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit corporation, whose mission program is exciting but also challenging.
Basically speaking, Silver Buckle uses horses to help in the growth and development of youth from both challenging living
circumstances and not. By way of example, some youth come to Silver Buckle through social service agencies throughout
SW Washington including foster children, youth referred by Juvenile Justice, socially and academically-challenged youth.
Others seek out Silver Buckle to feed their passion for horses and be part of a working ranch.
Although the paths to Silver Buckle are varied, all come to find a friend in a horse.

Silver Buckle programs such as ARK, Youth Riders and Women's Horsemanship follow a progressive program at age and
experience appropriate levels. Silver Buckle strives to meet the physical, mental, emotional and social needs of its riders. Silver Buckle
aspires to teach the whole person through horsemanship. Lesson plans are designed to assist in building life skills and helping
students to achieve personal growth in areas such as discipline, self-respect, self-confidence, poise, effective communication,
manners, working with others, being encouraging and supportive, trust, overcoming fear, gaining assertiveness and the reward in
commitment and follow-through. Each year Silver Buckle offers our ARK program classes to youth who are refereed to us through
local social service agencies. Most of these students enter the program at no cost or at a reduced fee, through our scholarship funds.

Our Scholarship funds are built trough many different ways, all of our programs help to support our mission program. Thank you for
